- Update - GSA Lounge - Jordan Miller
- GAC has fund. Wrote proposal ($1000 TV, $500 foosball table)
- Update - Hedgehopper Silver Saver Cards - Jordan Miller
- Offering us $200 worth of cards (how many cards?)
- Better idea: advertise showing student ID, and asking places whether they give discounts to Rice students or not.
- Our offer: 500 or more cards for $200. Reorganize for next year.
- Update - Orientation Committee - Mike Contreras
- All reps will participate as group leaders (Orientation is on August 23rd)
- Need help with new student resource guide (have an undergrad version; needs to be tailored toward graduate students). School is paying for the printing. Rochelle Evans (Psych) volunteered to help.
- Watch Baseball game @ Valhalla on Thursday night - no volunteers needed!
- Rec Center – Nasos
- During the summer, closes at 8:30pm (doors close at 8pm)
- Talk to administration to extend to 10pm on week nights
- Compared to other universities (in same strata), close at 10pm or later
- How much more would it cost? (Monday – Thursday)
- Set up survey at gym?
- Jordan meeting with Boyd tomorrow, will find out how open to it they are.
- Why do they close in August? Is it something that happens at other universities?
- If we are given a trial period, will need to make sure to advertise to departments. *Post sign at gym*. Other possibility: MWF or TTh

- Wine tasting 7/13 at 6PM in Farnsworth Pavillion
