The Wireless and Satellite Communications group with the
Telecommunications and Systems Engineering Department at Universitat
Autònoma de Barcelona is seeking for two qualified PhD candidates.


Research topic: Wireless Network Coding for Satellite Communications.


International co‐advising: The candidates will have the opportunity of
staying abroad during periods of their PhD given the strong
international collaborative approach of this PhDs.


Collaborations are expected with the following Universities:
• University of Oslo, with Prof. A. Hjørungnes, leader of the Signal Processing for Communications group (co‐advisor).
• University of Houston, with Assistant Professor Z. Han, leader of the Wireless Communications group (co‐advisor).
• Telecom ParisTech with Prof. J.C. Belfiore, leader of the Wireless Communications group (co‐advisor).


Terms of Employment: The salary is provided by the PRESTIGE Programme of the European Space Agency, see www.esa.int


Preferred candidates: Applicants should have at least one of the
following Degrees: Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications
Engineering, Mathematics.
