"SPEAKT OUT!: A Woman's World" - an Open Mic Night

Calling all lyricists, poets, singers, rappers, and performers: do you know a woman? Are you one? Then we need your voice for "SPEAK OUT!: A Woman's World," an Open Mic Night hosted by the Egyptian Queens, RPC and Rice Women's Resource Center at Willy's Pub at 9 pm, November 12th.

The event creates a venue to express and explore all aspects of a woman's world from ALL points of view - the mic is open to performers of any gender. What do you love about women? What do you hate about them? Don't be shy - SPEAK OUT and tell us in any way you want! Money raised from donations at the event will benefit the Houston Area Women's Center - a local organization that assists survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Come by and read a poem or story, do some stand-up, sing a song, or just enjoy FREE FOOD(!) and an exciting new performance opportunity at Rice!
