Honor Council Ombuds - graduate students wanted

Ombuds are students who assist accused students throughout the Honor Council process (i.e. investigations and hearings). They serve as a guide to the accused student for all of our policies and procedures as well as ensure that we as a Council follow these policies and procedures. For more information on the duties of ombuds, go to: http://honor.rice.edu/bluebook.cfm?doc_id=10353

The Honor Council has never before had graduate students serve as ombuds, but they feel that adding a graduate student to our pool of ombuds would enable us to better assist graduate students facing Honor Code violations. This would be a great way for new graduate students to get involved!

If interested, or for more information, please contact Mike Matson (matson@rice.edu), one of the Honor Council graduate reps. To schedule an interview, please contact Mike Matson by September 24. Interviews will be conducted on September 26th, beginning at 1pm.
