GSA 50th Anniversary Celebration

The Graduate Student Association was founded in 1969 and has grown and developed over the last 50 years. During Homecoming this year, we are celebrating and highlighting how far we have come as advocates and members of the Rice community in these past years. If you would like to donate, please visit our donation page for directions on how to donate directly to the event or to GSA in general.

Commitment to Sustainability

The GSA is committed to fostering a culture of sustainability at Rice. This requires participation from everyone to help make Rice a better place. Every action counts, such as: bringing your own water bottle and/or beer glass to GSA events; eating a more plant-forward diet to reduce the carbon impact of your food choices; choosing transportation options (e.g. bus, bike, carpool) that are better for the environment. Reduce your waste, Reuse what you can, and make sure to Recycle appropriately around campus and at home. To show our commitment to sustainability as a GSA, we made a conscious choice to reduce our postal carbon footprint by sending out our Save the Dates via email. This is one of the many ways sustainability will be a part of the GSA 50th Anniversary celebration. Please consider the environment before you print this page or the invite.
