I am an Applied Physics graduate student from Ridgecrest, California, a small town in the middle of nowhere that only exists on a map because we invented military grade glow-sticks and the Sidewinder Missile. I did my undergraduate coursework at St. John’s University in Queens, New York and received my BS in both Chemistry and Biology. Working for Christy Landes, I focus mainly on membrane-protein interactions and processes using various super-resolution imaging techniques. I am a member of the Association of Women in Science (AWIS) and an executive board member of the Applied Physics Graduate Student Association (APGSA) as well as a mentor for first-generation college students. I am extremely excited to be a part of the overarching GSA, especially in the website design arena. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, singing, painting and exploring the world around me. So if you ever need an idea of what to do or where to go in the Houston area, just ask!
