I grew up outside Minneapolis, MN and got my Bachelor’s at Northwestern University! Before coming to Rice, I worked for a year as a Project Manager in the healthcare IT industry. As a graduate researcher, I develop novel polymers and hydrogels for the repair of bone and cartilage tissue. I’m working towards a career in academia after graduation.
Outside of lab, I run a tutoring program for underprivileged K-12 students in Houston and lead monthly town halls (known as “Tea Talks”) for Houston’s Asian American community. When I have the time, I like to play a couple instruments (but mostly piano) and produce electronic music.
