After graduating with a B.S. in physics from William and Mary in VA, I started Rice’s applied physics PhD program in 2014, joining Dr. Tom Killian’s ultracold atomic physics lab. Outside research, I enjoy photography, hiking, taking things apart, and sometimes putting them back together. Committing to an undertaking the length of a PhD. focused my interest in developing not only research capabilities, but also the other skills needed to enter a competitive modern workforce. I am glad to help GSA provide opportunities for all Rice students to advance their career goals.
