My research focuses on developing new diagnostic tools for infectious diseases in low resource settings. I truly enjoy getting to see how my research can positively change the lives of people worldwide, so I love coming into lab each day. I grew up in Franklin, TN and attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN for undergrad. Go Dores! I love baseball, so you can often find me at Reckling Park attending games or longingly watching them from my office window in the BRC. I have served in the BioE GSA for two years and as a Valhalla manager while at Rice; this past year, I served as the Internal Vice President for the GSA. I am indescribably excited to continue working to serve the graduate student community at Rice University!
