Santiago Martinez Legaspi
I am originally from Mexico City but completed my undergraduate degree at Princeton University in New Jersey. My research focuses on understanding the impact of certain physicochemical properties of nanoparticles on nanoparticle-autophagy interactions to ultimately achieve autophagy regulation. I enjoy working at the BRC and having the opportunity to interact with members of other research groups in Rice and the TMC. I enjoy playing rugby and soccer and I often join the undergrads and play rugby for Rice as a member of the rugby club. I served in the CHBE GSA as a recruitment chair and I am looking forward to working with international students and cultural groups around campus.
