I grew up in Seoul, then went to Johns Hopkins University and got a bachelor’s degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. After spending three years in Republic of Korea Air Force as an interpreting officer, I came to Rice in the Summer of 2015 to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Bioengineering. I enjoy playing fingerstyle guitar and taking photos in my free time, and I’m also working as a student DJ for ktru Rice Radio (FM 96.1 MHz — stay tuned!). International students comprise a bulk of the school’s population, and my role this year is really to be a fellow international student who’s willing to listen to your suggestions and concerns. So feel free to reach out to me anytime!
