Shannon Carter

Shannon CarterMy research focuses on how climate change alters species interactions via minor shifts in the timing of species life cycles. I make artificial ponds in giant tanks, fill them with dragonflies, tadpoles, plants, and snails, and observe predator-prey interactions under different timing manipulations. I have always been a critter enthusiast, so my research brings me great joy. I’m a native Texan (8th generation, but who’s counting?), so of course I love football and brisket and armadillos. The GSA is such a valuable resource for graduate students, and I’m thrilled to be able to serve this year!
