Vice President of Student Advocacy
Maintains conversation with university administration and offices; Manages GSA/university committee members; Organizes committee check-ins and trainings; Attends monthly OISS meeting; Organizes Extravaganza; Monthly meeting with cultural group leaders; Club liaison to Culture Night; Training for council representatives relating to advocacy; Oversee International Student Outreach Director, Wellbeing Director, and Sustainability Director.
Vice President of Community Engagement
Coordinator for orientation, Beer Bike, and Valhallaween; Picnic planning; Oversees programming directors and community outreach director; Involved in Extravaganza
Vice President of Finance
Manages receipts/reimbursement; Sets budget; Oversees grants and budget; Manages web resources and forms for funding; Analysis of PPF and other funding; Involved in Extravaganza.
Vice President of Administration
Keeps and publishes minutes of all Executive Board, Cabinet, and Council meetings; Maintains GSA archives; Manages communication with association and its Council; Oversees Media Director and Graphic Design Director; Sets graduate communication vision; Manages various GSA calendars; Manages GSA Captains Lounge reservations; Oversees space requests for the GSA Captain’s Lounge; Maintains officer and reps list serv’s; Manages gsa[@]rice.edu email account.
Vice President of Student Development
Collaborates with CCD, CTE, ARA, OISS, DOERR, LILIE, RBA, RBPC, CCL, and RCEL; Creates more teaching opportunities for graduate students; Liaison for REA; GSA liaison for dGSA leaders; Oversees professional development directors; Plans programming events.
Vice President of Equity and Inclusion
The GSA leader on advocacy related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; the GSA rep on University committees like CODI; Oversees affinity group director, international student outreach director, and professional master’s student outreach director.
Manages necessary changes to the constitution and by-laws; Advises President and Council on procedural matters; Oversees elections, recruitment, and referenda; Presides over the GSA Awards process; Provides institutional knowledge; Reviews and approves club constitutions.
