Mobility Safety Discussion at GSA Council Meeting

Why you should be there: Bike or commute to campus? Concerned about your commute and sharing the road with Houston drivers? Attend our upcoming discussion on biking and mobility safety with the Rice administration. Free dinner is provided to all attendees.

We will hosting Rice’s VP for Administration, Dr. Kevin Kirby; Director of University Relations, Greg Marshall; and RUPD Chief of Police, James Tate, to speak on their efforts working with the city of Houston on bike infrastructure and to share advice on bike safety for grad students.

GSA Council Meeting will be held next Tuesday, June 19th at 6pm in the RMC Grand Hall. Council Meetings are held monthly and are always open to the graduate student community to join. This year, we are inviting members of the Rice administration to speak on issues of grad student interest, including bike safety, student healthcare, etc. Stay tuned for more!

If you can’t join us for our Council Meeting, please also consider attending our Bike & Pedestrian Safety Advocacy Dinner on 6/25! Free pizza will be provided, and we will be taking action by making calls and writing letters to city of Houston representatives.
