Have you ever wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes of GSA picnics? Where does all that pizza come from? Want to know how the GSA managed to pack 10,000 meals in just one afternoon? Do you want to be engaged in conversations about graduate student housing, health insurance, or student spaces on campus? Have you ever wanted to effect change for graduate students? If any of these questions even slightly apply to you, you should apply to be a GSA Officer!
Applications are now open for the 2017 GSA Executive and Directors Boards. See the GSA Officer Positions document for descriptions of officer positions, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any additional questions.
- There are six Executive Officer positions that will be elected at the March 21st GSA Council meeting (6pm in the RMC Grand Hall); these positions deal more with big picture planing and strategic efforts in the GSA. These officers hold regular meetings with GSA and partners around campus, and typically have more consistent time commitments week to week.
- The eight Directors positions will be appointed in early April by the 2017 GSA Executive Board. These positions plan and execute GSA events and have a more variable time commitments week to week.
You may apply for multiple positions on the Executive Board and/or on the Directors Board, but you can only hold one position at a time (once you are elected to one position your name will be removed from other fields on the ballot).
Looking forward to hearing from you!
